JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 05-02-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1(i). For issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the order issued order memo no. 1156 dated 5.9.2022 issued under the signature of Executive Engineer, Minor Water Resources Department, Begusarai, Respondent No.7 (Annexure-P/3).
(ii) For issuance of writ of mandamus directing the Respondents for payment of remuneration for the period from March 2019 to 9.12.2020 to the petitioners with consequential benefits."

At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the Respondents has referred to the supplementary counter affidavit, filed by the Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, wherein it has been stated that decision has been taken to make payment of the arrears of wages to the petitioners and accordingly, the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division, Begusarai, has been directed to send requisition for allocation of funds so that the arrears of wages of the petitioners can be paid forthwith. 3.
In view of the aforesaid, this Court deems it fit and proper
Patna High Court CWJC No.11341 of 2023(4) dt.05-02-2024 3/3 to direct the Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, to ensure payment of the arrears of the wages to the petitioners, within a period of eight weeks from today, failing which he shall not draw his salary.

The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
