JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 09-05-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.(I) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to produce on record the proceeding of the Special Security Committee dated 29.07.2022 convened under the chairmanship of the Respondent No.4, in which the petitioner's request for deployment of Body Guard was rejected by the Security Committee on the ground that in the report of Superintendent of Police, Madhepura there is no mention about the specific individual threat perception against the petitioner and

Patna High Court CWJC No.13464 of 2022(2) dt.09-05-2023 2/2 on production the same may be quashed by issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of CERTIORARI on the ground that the Committee has misunderstood the report submitted by the Respondent no.5 for rejecting the request of the petitioner for deployment of a Bodyguard.

(II) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to allow the petitioner to avail the facility of bodyguard on payment which the petitioner has been availing since back in view of the perception of threat as reported by the Respondent No.5 to the Respondent No.4 vide his letter dated 21.01.2022."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
