The petitioners before this Court are the erstwhile employees of the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation; on being aggrieved with the inaction of the respondents have approached this Court seeking a direction to make payment of interest on delayed payment of CPF amount up to the date of actual payment, apart from other reliefs.

At the outset, Mr. Sameer Ranjan, learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the grievance of petitioner nos. 3 to 8 have been redressed and admissible payment have been made. So far petitioner nos. 1 and 2 are concerned, till date they have not been accorded their admissible interest over the delayed payment of CPF amount.

Dr. Anand Kumar, learned Advocate for the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation taking this Court through the counter affidavit, especially paragraph nos. 8 and 9 submitted that in absence of necessary information at the level of petitioner nos. 1 and 2, till date their claim could not be considered. However, it has been fairly contended that if both the petitioners would submit required information along with necessary documents, their cases shall be considered and if any amount shall be found due, the same shall be paid to them.

Considering the averments made in the counter affidavit, as also the submissions advanced by the respective parties, the present writ petition stands disposed off with a liberty to petitioner nos. 1 and 2 to approach before the respondent no.2 along with the necessary information and required documents mentioned in letter no. 3478 dated 24.10.2024 and letter no. 3527 dated 29.10.2024, as has been disclosed in paragraph nos. 8 and 9 of the counter affidavit, preferably within a period of four weeks from today.

6. In case, the necessary information and documents shall be provided by the petitioner nos. 1 and 2 to the respondent no.2, their claim shall be considered by the concerned authority and admissible payment shall be made within a further period of eight weeks.

7. The writ petition stands disposed off.
