JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 01-07-2016 Petitioner being husband of the informant is languishing in custody since 22.03.2016 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The basic accusation is of torture for nonfulfilment of dowry demand. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner admits his marriage with the informant and ready to keep the informant as wife with full dignity and honour. A statement to that effect has been made in para 14 of the petition. It is further submitted that similar was the stand of the petitioner before learned Court below but in spite of notice the informant chose not to appear. Considering the aforesaid facts, let the
