The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 385 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code.
As per the prosecution case, a demand of rangdari to the tune of Rs. 20 lacs was made on mobile phone of the informant.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the FIR was registered against unknown. The name of the petitioner transpired in course of investigation in the confessional statement of coaccused Ravi Kant Kumar. No other material has transpired in course of investigation to connect the petitioner with the alleged crime nor any incriminating article has been recovered from the petitioner's possession. The

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations in the FIR, no incriminating article having been recovered from the petitioner's possession who is in custody for more than 1 year 6 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Kadam Kuan P.S. Case no.737 of 2019 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M.-X, Patna.
