This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Sonnagar Rail P.S. Case No.09 of 2021 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 306, 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 3.

The wife and daughter of the petitioner have committed suicide. It is alleged that the petitioner used to harass his wife for demand of dowry. The petitioner is in custody since 27.04.2023.

Looking to the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail. Accordingly, this application is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as early as possible. (Sandeep Kumar, J) pawan/- U T
