The sole petitioner, who is in custody since 07.05.2016 in connection with Chapra Rail P.S. Case No.16/2016 registered in the F.I.R. for the offence under Sections 47, 57 of the Bihar New Excise Act, 2016, has prayed for grant of bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was travelling in a train after having valid railway ticket and from the place, where he was sitting, recovery of some bottles of foreign liquor was shown and the petitioner was apprehended on an allegation that he was indulged in smuggling of foreign liquor. He submits that the petitioner is having clean antecedent.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc.
