2. Petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the Joint Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Bihar who vide order contained in Memo No.809 dated 28.02.2020 has rejected the representation of the petitioner for extension of contract on the post of Lecturer at Braj Kishore Narayan Singh State

Patna High Court CWJC No.3554 of 2021(7) dt.01-07-2025 2/2 Polytechnic, Gopalganj. It is the case of the petitioner that eight vacant posts of Economics (Humanities) are still vacant at different polytechnic institute. The Joint Secretary, who has rejected his representation has issued instruction for employment / engagement of guest teacher against vacant posts, therefore, the petitioner may also be considered either for appointment/adjustment as a Guest Teacher, who had applied for teaching Economics (Humanities).

3. In view of above, the petitioner, if so advised, may file a detailed representation before the Director, Science and Technology Department, Bihar. The Director must see whether the petitioner can be adjusted/appointed or regularized on the said post. The above exercise is required to be undertaken well within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of.
