Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents.

The petitioner asserts that Danapur Cantonment Board had granted him a contract for collecting entry fee from the persons plying commercial vehicles in Danapur Cantonment area. He has filed this writ application seeking following relief:

Patna High Court CWJC No.3713 of 2021(2) dt.20-01-2022 2/2 "That the present writ application is filed for grant of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or directions commanding the respondents nos.2 to 4 to extend the petitioner's contract of collection of vehicle entry fee for a period of 4 months 21 days in the contract periods of two successive years or to pay back to him the proportionate amount of money for the said period during which the petitioner could not collect the vehicle entry fee due to the directions of the concerned respondents and/or for any other suitable reliefs including award of an appropriate cost and compensation to the petitioner."

In our opinion, this is a purely contractual dispute which need not be gone into by this Court in a proceeding under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

This application is, accordingly, dismissed.
