The petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in a case registered under sections 30(a), 38 and 41(1) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, about 87 litres of liquor was recovered from the car and the petitioner along with others were taken into custody.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 28.4.2022 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner is in custody since 30.8.2021.

Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.52009 of 2022(2) dt.28-09-2022 2/2 taking into consideration the nature of allegation, the liberty granted in the earlier order of rejection dated 28.4.2022 and the petitioner having remained in custody for more than 1 year, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Sonepur P.S. Case no.503 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise, Saran at Chapra.
