The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is that he has not been paid the interest at the rate of 12.5% per annum on Group Insurance and also the Dearness Allowance and House Rent Allowance w.e.f. 01.01.2006 to July, 2008.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the similarly circumstanced have been granted the D.A. and HRA in terms of U.G.C. pay revision, but the petitioner has not been
Patna High Court CWJC No.16648 of 2019(2) dt.19-08-2019 2/2 granted, which was admissible from 01.01.2006. Since the petitioner superannuated on 31.01.2013, the respondent University as well as the State is required to take appropriate decision with regard to payment of interest on belated payment of Group Insurance and if the others have been paid HRA and DA in terms of UGC revised scale, there is no reason to deny the same to the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.2006 till the date of retirement.
Necessary decision in this regard may be taken by the respondents within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
