2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief/s :

"(i) That this writ petition is directed for issuance of an appropriate writ/writs, order/ orders) for transfer of the petitioner from the post of District Animal Husbandry Officer, Begusarai to the vacant post of (i) Senior Research Officer.

Patna High Court CWJC No.10794 of 2026 dt.23-07-2026 2/3 Institute of Animal Health and Production, Patna, (ii) Research Officer, Institute of Animal Health and Production, Patna, (iii) Assistant Director (General), Regional Director Office, Patna (iv) Assistant Director (General), R.D. Office, Gaya, as per representation submitted by the petitioner on the basis of husband and wife is working in same cadre and same Department as per guidelines issued by the Department of Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Govt. of Bihar, Vikas Bhawan, New Secretariat, Patna."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed several representations for redressal of his grievance. The petitioner has submitted latest representation on 10.04.2026 before respondent No. 2, namely, the Secretary, Department of Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Government of Bihar, (as contained in Annexure P/6), but till date no decision has been taken on the said representation.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of State submits that some time may be granted to file a counter affidavit.

5. This Court is of the opinion that granting time for filing a counter affidavit shall not serve any useful purpose.

6. In the aforesaid background, the respondent No. 2, namely, the Secretary, Department of Dairy, Fisheries and

Patna High Court CWJC No.10794 of 2026 dt.23-07-2026 3/3 Animal Resources, Government of Bihar, (as contained in Annexure P/6/), is directed to take a decision on the representation dated 10.04.2026 (as contained in Annexure P/6 within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case.

8. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
