The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Saran Excise Case No. 172 of 2021 (PR-284) instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

129.600 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a vehicle which was being occupied by the petitioner.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.61557 of 2021(2) dt.26-05-2022 2/2 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has no concern whatsoever with the seized liquor and the vehicle also does not belong to him.

The petitioner is in custody since 26.07.2021 and does not have criminal antecedents.

Considering the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of accusation as also taking into account that he has not been made accused in any case up-till now whatsoever, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge-CumSpecial Judge, Excise, Saran in connection with Saran Excise Case No. 172 of 2021 (PR-284).

The application stands allowed.
