This application is for grant of regular bail in connection Sangrampur P.S.Case No.50 of 2017 for the offences under Sections 387 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation against the petitioner is that is of demand of extortion of Rs.15 lac from the informant. Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 30.3.2018 passed in cr. Misc. 18175 of 2018.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that there is no allegation that the demand was fulfilled as such no offence is made out under Section 387 of the IPC and he is in custody for more than ten months.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.60486 of 2018 (2) dt.08-10-2018 2/2 Having heard both sides and in view of the fact that earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected and he SIM of the petitioner was used as such, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude the trial as soon as possible.. With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
