The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) That through the present application, the petitioner seeks a direction/directions from this Hon'ble Court to all the respondents in general and the Respondents no.3 and 4 in particular to grant the 1st and 2nd A.C.P. (Assured Career Progress) to him for which the petitioner is statutorily entitled. Due to non-grant of the same, the petitioner has got aggrieved and has prepared this application."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-
