The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 354(a), 354(d), 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case as per F.I.R is that the informant fixed marriage of his daughter with one Abhay Singh. It is alleged against the petitioner that he hacked the facebook account of the daughter of the informant and thereafter sent obscene pictures of his daughter to Abhay Singh, as a result of which, he denied to marry

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.63607 of 2021(2) dt.13-07-2022 2/3 with his daughter. It is further alleged that this petitioner also threatened and pressurized the informant and other family members to marry his daughter with him, otherwise they would face dire consequences.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner and daughter of the informant were in love and with the consent of family members they got engaged and date of marriage was fixed but due to pandemic COVID-19, the marriage could not be performed. The informant thereafter denied to perform marriage of his daughter with the petitioner. The present F.I.R has been lodged only to grab the gifts and ornaments given by the petitioner's side at the time of engagement. The father of the petitioner has also filed a criminal case against the informant in this regard. A statement has been made in para 3 of the petition that petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Case No. 03 of 2021, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
