01-09-2021 Heard learned counsel for the parties through video conferencing.

This is 2nd attempt for grant of bail on behalf of petitioner. Earlier, the bail petition of petitioner was rejected, vide order dated 29.05.2020 passed in Cr.Misc. No. 7131 of 2020.

On last occasion, vide order dated 07.07.2021, a report regarding stage of the trial was called for, which has been received and kept at flag 'R'. From perusal of the same, it appears that chargesheet has already been submitted, but since the court is vacant since 05.02.2020, the cognizance order could not be passed.

Taking into consideration the nature of accusation, status report of the trial court as well as the fact that petitioner is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.10144 of 2021(3) dt.01-09-2021 2/2 husband of the deceased and the deceased has died within seven years of marriage, the bail petition of petitioner is rejected. However, since the petitioner is in custody since 13.06.2019, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial as early as possible.
