The petitioner, husband of opposite party no. 2, apprehends his arrest in Complaint Case No. 216C of 2018 registered for the offence under Section 498(A)of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegation against the petitioner is of torture and assault due to non-fulfilment of demand of dowry and ultimately, the complainant was ousted from her matrimonial home.

Earlier, vide order dated 16.11.2019, the matter was sent to Mediation Centre for settlement of dispute between the parties and on perusal of Mediator's report dated 13.12.2019

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.49665 of 2019(5) dt.25-02-2020 2/2 (Flag 'M'), it appears that the mediation has failed. In view of the facts, as stated above, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail stands rejected.
