The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Barauli P.S. Case No. 295 of 2020 dated 18.10.2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. Regard being had to the recovery of 16 liters of liquor from a vehicle which stands in the name of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him notwithstanding the fact that he does not have criminal antecedents. The prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. Should the petitioner surrender before the Court below and seek bail, his application shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced with the fact that the
