The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Abadpur PS Case No. 64 of 2017 instituted for the offences under Section 392 and 411 of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegation has been made that the informant along with his brother Khokhan Pramanik were returning towards their house after withdrawing a sum of Rs. Two lacs. On the way, they were intercepted by two persons riding on a motor cycle who disrobed them of their money. One Ujjal Das, the pillion rider from whom the money was recovered, was apprehended by the villagers. He has taken the name of the petitioner.
The petitioner has criminal history.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.59274 of 2018(2) dt.08-10-2018 2/2 In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, the court below will try and dispose of the matter on the same day after perusal of the case dairy on its own merit without being prejudiced by the order passed by this Court.
