2. At the outset, learned Advocate for the petitioner seeks permission to make Delhi Central Public School through its Principal as party respondent no.4 as also to make necessary correction in para-1 of the writ petition in course of the day.

3. Permission is accorded.

4. The petitioner, who passed his matriculation from Delhi Central Public School, Sarwa Gumti Nadwada, Masaurhi, Patna under the Central Board of Secondary Education (for

Patna High Court CWJC No.12325 of 2025(2) dt.09-10-2025 2/3 brevity 'the CBSE'), has preferred the present writ petition seeking a direction upon the respondent-CBSE to make necessary correction in the name of the petitioner's mother from Smt. Dhanmanti Devi to Smt. Sunita Kumari in the mark-sheet and certificate(s) issued by the CBSE.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that despite repeated requests and the necessary papers as well as the records sent to the Regional Office of the CBSE through school way back on 07.12.2022, necessary correction in the mother's name of the petitioner could not be done, compelling him to approach this Court.

Mr. Vinay Krishna Tripathy, learned Advocate for the CBSE submitted that for necessary correction in the marksheet and certificate(s) issued by the CBSE, the school in question has been directed to furnish some documents/records vide its letter bearing no.6399-6400 dated 01.05.2025, the copy of which has been placed on record, however, till date no such documents/records have been furnished; in absence of which, necessary correction could not be done till date.

7. Considering the nature of the grievance and the submissions advanced, this Court directs the school in question to act upon the letter afore-noted issued by the Regional Office

Patna High Court CWJC No.12325 of 2025(2) dt.09-10-2025 3/3 of the CBSE within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

8. On receipt of the necessary documents/records in the Regional Office of the CBSE, necessary correction shall be made within a further period of four weeks, if found permissible in accordance with law.

9. The writ petition stands disposed off.
