JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 19-08-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. A. For directing the Respondent Authorities to reinstate the Arms Licence of N.P. Bore Rifle having Licence No. AB967087315 Bore of the Petitioner as the Petitioner has been acquitted in the Ghoshi Police Station Case No.64 of 1998 by the learned Court below.

B. For directing the Respondent Authorities particularly the District Arms Magistrate, Jehanabad to reinstate the Arms Licence of N.P. Bore Rife having Licence No. AB967087315 Bore of the Petitioner

C. For directing the Respondent Authority particularly the District Magistrate, Jehanabad to dispose of the Application dated 08.01.2024 of the Petitioner for reinstatement of his Arms Licence." 2.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Jehanabad, to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner on 08.01.2024, for revival of arms license. 3.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case any application has been filed by the petitioner for revival of arms license and the same is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Jehanabad, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner for revival of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order in accordance with, within a period of six

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
