2. 07.07.2021 The present petition has been taken up for consideration through the mode of Video conferencing in view of the prevailing situation on account of COVID 19 Pandemic, requiring social distancing.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri. Dilip Kumar, learned A.P.P. for the State. The present petition has been filed for modifying the order dated 18.06.2020 passed in Criminal Misc. No. 7943 of 2020, to the extent that the time period granted to the petitioner for surrendering before the Ld. Court below be extended by a further period of four weeks.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on account of prevailing COVID 19 Pandemic situation as also on account of the petitioner having come to know about the present order dated 18.06.2020 belatedly, the petitioner could not surrender within the stipulated time frame. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the averments made in the present petition, I deem it fit and proper to extend the time granted to the petitioner to surrender before the learned court below by a further period of four weeks from today.

It is needless to state that all the other conditions prescribed in the order dated 18.06.2020 shall remain the same.

The petition stands dispose of with the aforesaid modification in the order dated 18.06.2020, passed in Criminal Misc. No. 7943 of 2020.
