JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-04-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State. This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Saraiya P.S. Case No. 800 of 2020, registered for the offence punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 3/4 of the POCSO Act and Sections 3(I)(r)(s) of S.C./S.T. Prevention of Atrocities Act.

The allegation in the First Information Report is directly against the petitioner of having committed rape of a minor girl.

Considering the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of regular bail for the present.
