JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 24-11-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner who had retired as Police Inspector was working as Sub-Inspector , Sultanganj Police Station when he had applied and granted licence for N.P. Bore rifle by the District Magistrate-cum-licensing authority, Patna. Now, after his retirement from the service, he has settled at Bhojpur District at Ara and he wants his licence to be entered in the register of Bhojpur District for which he has made application before the District Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara. However, even though no objection certificate has been issued by the District Magistrate-

Patna High Court CWJC No.3578 of 2014 (2) dt.24-11-2015 2 / 2 cum-licensing authority, Patna, the matter has remained pending since 2011.

Having regards to the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate - cum - licensing authority, Bhojpur, Ara to take a final decision in the matter in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order in terms of sub-Clause (3) of Rule 62 of the Arms Rule, 1962 read with instruction dated 09.04.2013 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.
