Mr. Rajesh Singh, GP16 =========================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 04-12-2015 Petitioner is challenging Annexure-1 dated 18.06.2014 by virtue of which the Secretary, Bihar School Examination Board has refused to bring about any changes in the date of birth in the matriculation certificate of the petitioner. Petitioner claims that his date of birth ought to be 17.10.1958 in stead of 17.10.1956. No doubt this order has been passed at the instance of a direction issued by the High Court in a previous writ application but the order itself indicates that the records of the Board in relation to the petitioner indicates his date of birth to be 1956 and not 1958. Patna High Court CWJC No.18097 of 2014 dt.04-12-2015 2 / 2 examination for matriculation in the year 1974. He approaches the authorities and the High Court in the year 2006 for the first time. Obviously the whole exercise or demand is motivated by greed to hang on to a job a couple of years longer than what the petitioner would get on the basis of his actual date of birth. Such corrections/modifications are not required to be entertained after 31⁄2 decades of the event and having taken place. No interference is warranted with Annexure-1.

Writ application is dismissed.
