JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 15-09-2022 At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already filed appeals against the final order, passed under Section 6(1) of the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956, by the Circle Officer, Thakrahan, District-West Champaran, before the learned Collector, West Champaran at Bettiah, hence, the same be directed to be disposed off expeditiously and in the meantime, some protection be granted to the petitioners. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition stands disposed off with a direction that in case, appeals have been filed by the petitioners before the learned Collector, West Champaran at Bettiah, the same shall be disposed off expeditiously and till the final disposal of the same, status quo existing as on today qua their land in question, shall be maintained.
