JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA) 11-03-2022 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to grant license of the PDS shop to the petitioner on compassionate ground in terms of Rule 10 of the Bihar Targeted Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2016 in as much as the father of the petitioner, who was holding a license of PDS shop bearing License No. 20 of 85, died on 24.11.2019, whereafter the petitioner has filed appropriate application for grant of the PDS shop license on compassionate

Patna High Court CWJC No.18669 of 2021(2) dt.11-03-2022 2/2 ground on 02.02.2020 within the stipulated period. However, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Hathua, Gopalganj is not taking decision on the same, though entire formality has already been completed.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and having gone through the records of the case, we deem it fit and proper to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Hathua, Gopalganj to decide the case of the petitioner for grant of PDS shop license on compassionate ground forthwith, in any case not later than six weeks from today.
