JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD) Date : 18-04-2023 The writ application has been filed as public interest litigation. The petitioner seeks directions commanding the respondents to organise camps at Mokama East, Mokama Central and Mokama West, areas falling under Mokama Nagar Parishad, for the purpose of collection of land revenue.

It is stated that the concerned circle office is 7-8 kilometres away. The writ petitioner also seeks sweeping and general directions for addressing the grievance of the citizens of the Mokama Nagar

Patna High Court CWJC No.18450 of 2021 dt.18-04-2023 2/2 Parishad areas regarding correction, modification and additions in the land records, also to stop prevailing corruption by middleman and for extending benefits of government schemes to the farmers of the area. The scope of the instant writ proceedings lacks any specific issue which can be said to be an issue espoused with public interest for marginalized/deprived/inarticulate sections of the society. Alleged inconvenient distance of the circle office and vague and general allegations devoid of substance, cannot be made the foundation of invoking writ petition in the nature of public interest litigation, as is sought to be done by the writ petitioner in the instant case.

For the reasons indicated above, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition as a public interest litigation. The writ petition is dismissed.
