In the present writ petition the petitioner has prayed for quashing of confiscation proceeding i.e. Confiscation Case No. 48 of 2015.

It has been admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that his vehicle i.e. a tractor, was seized by the forest officials on the allegation of violation of the provisions of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (Bihar Amendment Act 1989 Act 9 of 1990).

Learned counsel for the petitioner accepts that the vehicle in question has already been released.
