Petitioner is in jail custody since 07.07.2016 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.
Petitioner is not named in the first information report but in course of investigation, one co-accused, Soman Mistri was arrested and confessed his guilt disclosing that he had purchased one looted mobile from the petitioner. Petitioner has not been put on Test Identification Parade as yet nor does have any criminal antecedent and except the above stated confessional statement of co-accused, there appears to be nothing against him.
