The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that earlier the matter had been referred to the Mediation Centre and the learned Mediator has reported that the dispute between the parties has been resolved through the process of Mediation and the terms of settlement mutually arrived at, has been placed before this Court. In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances and the report of the learned Mediator in which it has been stated that the dispute has been resolved, let the petitioner, in the event of his
