JUSTICE SHIVAJI PANDEY ORAL ORDER 16-11-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Kazi Mohammadpur P.S. Case No. 150 of 2016 registered for offences under sections 395, 412 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is a case of bank dacoity. In broad daylight, six persons entered into the Bank and looted a sum of Rs. 47,08,631/- and fled away. The name of the petitioner has been taken by one Jyoti Kumar who has specifically stated that he along with this petitioner was in the vehicle and fled away from there. In that view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.43422 of 2016 (4) dt.16-11-2016 Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner, namely, Ranjit Kumar is rejected.

The court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same within a period of nine months from today and if the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period of nine months, the petitioner will have a liberty to renew his prayer for bail before this Court.
