The petitioners seek bail in connection with CBI RC Case No.12A/2012 (RC0232012A0016), Special Case No.09/2012, registered for the offence punishable u/s 120B, 409, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC and section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) and (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Vide order dated 25.08.2023, a report was called for, regarding the stage of trial. In compliance thereof, a report sent by learned Special Judge, CBI-I, Civil Court, Patna, dated 08.09.2023 is kept at flag 'A', whereby it is stated that out of forty-six witnesses mentioned in the chargesheet, altogether thirty nine witnesses have been examined on behalf of
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56573 of 2023(3) dt.06-10-2023 2/2 prosecution and the time likely to be taken in conclusion of the trial is within three months, if parties co-operate. 4.
Considering the submissions made in the report, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners named above. The prayer for bail is hereby rejected.

Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (Anjani Kumar Sharan, J) pallavi/- U T
