The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Basantpur P. S. Case No. 287 of 2018 dated 23.08.2018 instituted for the offences under Sections 413, 414 and 429 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 4(A)(b) of Bihar Preservation and Improvement of Animals Act, 1955 and Section 11(a)(b)(c)(d) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
A Bolero Vehicle bearing Registration No. of West Bengal was intercepted and the person so arrested was found to be in possession of 50 kg of beef. The person arrested has disclosed that the beef has to be delivered to the petitioner.

No.69069 of 2018(2) dt.18-12-2018 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is an old person aged about 75 years, who was employed with Hindustan Steel Works Construction Limited, Kolkata from where he has taken voluntary retirement in the year 2002.
Considering the fact that the name of the petitioner has transpired in the statement of an arrested co-accused person and also taking into account his age, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Siwan in connection with Basantpur P. S. Case No. 287 of 2018, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
