The petitioner is in custody in connection with Rupaspur P.S. Case No. 256 of 2019 (Special Case No. 5034 of 2019) for the offenses under Sections 356, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and 37(i) (ii) of Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that he, in drunken condition, was involved in snatching of gold locket of the informant. It is further submitted that the petitioner has got a clean antecedent. The petitioner is in custody since 03.06.2019. Considering the fact that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and remained in custody for more than six months,
