JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 25-08-2015 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner is apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
The informant being the Ward Councilor of Munger Municipal Corporation has alleged that the petitioner has cheated several persons on the pretext of providing benefits under widow pension, handicapped pension and marriage welfare schemes. The said accusation has been supported by 79 prospective beneficiaries.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is neither a government servant nor the elected representative and only on suspicion the accusation has been levelled. A statement has been made in paragraph 3 of the petition that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent.
