The petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondents to pay the difference of salary with statutory interest from June 2000 to February, 2013. The petitioner retired as University Professor on 31.05.2018. He was granted promotion as Lecturer to Reader w.e.f. 24.06.2000. Further case of the petitioner is that on account of his promotion, he was entitled to the benefit of pay scale, but the corresponding monetary benefit has not been extended to him.
Since the petitioner superannuated on 31.05.2018
Patna High Court CWJC No.15199 of 2019(4) dt.29-07-2019 2/2 without the benefit of difference of salary on promotion from June, 2000, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to work out the entitlement of the petitioner and ensure payment of monetary benefit at the earliest preferably within a maximum period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and thereafter ensure payment within a further period of 30 days.
With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
