In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Inarwa P.S. Case No. 17 of 2018, registered for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 386, 379, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Allegation has been made that about 36 persons including the present petitioner came and demanded Rs. 7 lacs as a ransom from the informant and also threatened if he fails to fulfill the demand, then he will not be allowed to cut the sugar crop.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.50383 of 2019(2) dt.13-08-2019 2/2 fact there is a land dispute between the parties and only to settle the score this false case has been lodged against the petitioner. Looking to the fact that large number of persons have been implicated in this case without any attribution, let the above-named petitioner be released on anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah, in connection with Inarwa P.S. Case no. 17 of 2018, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Further condition is that whenever the police will call the petitioner for the purposes of investigation and interrogation, he will remain present for the investigation. In the event of being absent on two consecutive dates without reasonable explanation, the present order will be treated to have been cancelled.
