The petitioners seek a direction to the Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Society, Bherharia, Siyarampur, Block-Paliganj in the district of Patna to make payment for the paddy so supplied by the petitioners.

The writ petition is not maintainable for no writ lies against a Cooperative Society. The remedy for the petitioners lies under Section 48 of the Bihar Cooperative Society Act, 1935 and the rules framed thereunder and, if so advised, they may take recourse thereto. The writ petition is disposed of.
