The Petitioner seeks bail in connection with S.Tr. No. 32 of 2016 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 302 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. There is specific allegation against this petitioner of firing on the husband of the informant by pistol on his temple on account of which he died on the spot.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has surrendered and is in custody since 11.12.2015. Since the petitioner is main assailant in the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Hence, prayer for bail is rejected. However, the court below is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.19847 of 2017 (3) dt.16-05-2017 2/2 directed to expedite the trial and make effort to conclude the trial expeditiously preferably, within a period of 9 months from date of order of this Court without giving any unnecessary adjournment to any parties.
