JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH) 10-05-2022 The petitioner in the present writ application is aggrieved by an order dated 01.10.2021 issued by the Circle Officer, Khajauli, whereby the petitioner's nomination for contesting election for the post of Mukhiya of Gram Panchayat Raj, Bardahi, has been cancelled.

Patna High Court CWJC No.18816 of 2021(2) dt.10-05-2022 2/2 It appears from the pleadings on record that there was some dispute over the caste certificate on which the petitioner was placing reliance to contest the election. Since the elections are over, this writ application has become infructuous.

We make it clear that the question of the correctness of the petitioner's caste certificate has not been gone into in the present proceeding and the petitioner shall be at liberty to pursue his remedy in the said regard, if required, in future, before appropriate forum.

This writ application is dismissed as having become infructuous.
