By way of the present application, the petitioners seek quashing of the order dated 14.09.2010 passed in Complaint Case No. 1784(C) of 2010 whereby after taking cognizance of the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.35290 of 2015 dt.02-02-2016 2 / 2 offence punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, the petitioners have been summoned to face trial. I have perused the complaint and the impugned order dated 14.09.2010. The allegations made in the complaint do attract the ingredients of the offences punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The complainant was examined on solemn affirmation and on her behalf certain witnesses were examined during course of inquiry, who have clearly supported the allegations made in the complaint. In that view of the matter, there is no error in the impugned order passed by the court below. Accordingly, the application, being devoid of any merit, is hereby dismissed. (Ashwani Kumar Singh, J.)
