The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No.4 of 2017, arising out of Sabour P.S. Case No.35 of 2017, registered under Sections 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code besides Sections 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The accusation is of committing irregularity and illegality in the appointment of Assistant Professors-cum-Junior Scientists in the Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, by the then Vice Chancellor-cum-Chairman of the Appointment Committee and other members of the Committee.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.35938 of 2017 (3) dt.04-10-2017 2/2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. In course of investigation, the name of the petitioner surfaced in this case because the petitioner was deputed as O.S.D. in the Recruitment Cell regarding the recruitment of the Assistant Professors-cumJunior Scientists. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is in custody since 20.05.2017. Moreover, on investigation, the chargesheet has already been submitted against the petitioner. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, Vigilance-II, Patna, in connection with Special Case No.4 of 2017, arising out of Sabour P.S.
