Mr. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 22-12-2017 The petitioner's daughter, Rashmi Kumari, had appeared for Intermediate of Science Examination, 2017, held by the Bihar School Examination Board. It is her specific case that she had studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as optional papers and Mathematics as additional paper. It is her further case that in the admit card, issued by the Bihar School Examination Board, Physical, Chemistry and Mathematics was wrongly mentioned as optional papers and Biology as additional paper. She was allowed to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as optional papers and Mathematics as additional paper, at the local level by making corrections in the admit card. In the final result,

Patna High Court CWJC No.11653 of 2017(6) dt.22-12-2017 2/3 however, the petitioner's daughter has been shown to have passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, as her optional papers and result of Biology paper has not been published.

In that background, relief is being sought on behalf of the petitioner's daughter to direct the Bihar School Examination Board to revise her result and publish her revised result of Intermediate of Science, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as her optional papers and Mathematics as additional paper. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board from which it is evident that these discrepancies have taken place because of wrong and incorrect uploading of the information by the school where the petitioner's daughter had pursued her studies, at the time of filling up of registration and examination forms. Pursuant to an order of this Court, dated 12.12.2017, a supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board, stating therein that the petitioner's daughter had appeared for Biology paper also and her answer sheet of Biology has been evaluated in which she has scored 55 marks.

Considering the facts and circumstances, I dispose of this

Patna High Court CWJC No.11653 of 2017(6) dt.22-12-2017 3/3 writ application with a direction to the Bihar School Examination Board to publish the result of the petitioner's daughter of Intermediate of Science (12th Examination) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as her optional papers and Mathematics as the additional paper. The Bihar School Examination Board is also directed to make necessary corrections in the registration slip of the petitioner's daughter for the said examination by making correct entries of her optional papers and the additional paper, as indicated above. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

This writ application stands disposed of.
