The petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per prosecution case, 174 litres of liquor was recovered from the motorcycle of this petitioner. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 23.2.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. no.8212 of 2022 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner has remained in custody since 5.9.2021.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.53787 of 2022(2) dt.12-10-2022 2/2 taking into consideration the liberty granted to the petitioner in the earlier order of rejection dated 23.2.2022 and the period in custody of the petitioner, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Piprahi P.S. Case no. 170 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cumSpecial Judge, Excise, Sheohar.
