The petitioner has invoked the prerogative writ jurisdiction of this Court seeking a direction upon the respondent, National Institute of Open Schooling, hereinafter referred to as N.I.O.S., to ensure correction of his father's name as Brahmadeo Das in place of Brahmadev Das in marksheet issued by the National Institute of Open Schooling and also rectifies the record with regard to the petitioner in their own data.

3. Learned Advocate for the respondent N.I.O.S. fairly submitted that prima facie formal correction in the father's name of the petitioner is required to be done as per the records available in the office of the N.I.O.S.

4. Having considered the limited grievance of the petitioner, this Court deems it fit and proper to dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no. 3, the Regional Director, N.I.O.S., Regional Centre, Patna to look into the grievance of the petitioner and make necessary correction as per the record available and the materials brought on record by filing the present writ petition, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
