The petitioner being the husband of the victim is languishing in custody since 22.10.2013 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code.
The accusation is of dowry demand and the petitioner assaulted the victim just before the victim jumped into the well and committed suicide.
Considering the nature of accusation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No. 44 of 2013 pending in the court of learned
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33460 of 2014 (03) dt.12-01-2015 2/2 Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate, Masaurhi, Patna. Let trial be expedited.
However, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail, if the trial is not concluded within a period of one year.
