JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 17-09-2019 The short prayer in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, Nalanda to hear the matter presented by the petitioner under Section 22 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 read with rule 22 of the Bihar Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules.

The learned counsel for the respondents State submits that the Sub-Divisional, Hilsa, District Nalanda has been authorised to hear the complaints under the aforesaid Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act,

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that in case any complaint has been filed by the petitioner, the same would be taken up for hearing and finally adjudicated within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
