JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 24-03-2022 Heard Mr. Ravi Ranjan, learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Md. Aslam Ansari for the State. The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Meenapur P.S. Case No. 22 of 2019 dated 14.01.2019 instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The petitioner and others are said to have resorted to firing while the informant was at his house. The miscreants were speaking amongst themselves that because the informant was instrumental in getting liquor from their houses seized therefore, such an occurrence was being committed.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the victim has received a single injury and that also of the nature

The petitioner was earlier made accused in a case of Excise Act in which he is on bail. The informant is but an accused of several cases of the Excise Act.

The learned counsel for the petitioner therefore submits that there could be some rivalry between the petitioners and taking advantage of a minor injury on his person, the present case has been lodged.

Regard being had to the aforesaid assertion made on behalf of the petitioner, the provisional bail granted to him on 21.02.2022 is, hereby, confirmed.

The petitioner shall remain on the same bail bonds. The petition stands disposed off accordingly. (Ashutosh Kumar, J) krishna/- U T
